Hike Difficulty: Strenuous
This was a Memorial Day weekend excursion with a couple of friends. From the edge of Hessian Lake, we took Major Welch's Trail up Bear Mountain. On the way down, much of the descent was trail-less (lost track of the return trail...most likely the white-blazed AT).
