I had a weekend in LA on my hands in the course of a Bay Area/Los Angeles business trip. Some hiking was in order. I was staying in Santa Monica, and decided that it would be fun to indulge in my NY/NJ ways and go hiking using public transportation in Southern California of all places :) Temescal Gateway Parl/Topanga State Park seemed a good fit for this, and so I took the bus and hiked the dusty hills.
