Bumpass Hell

This is the first of a series of posts on hikes and strolls undertaken during a 5-day CA road trip.

Date: August 31, 2017

Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park, CA

During my first visit to Lassen in July 2016, I was unable to check out Lassen's signature geothermal hike - Bumpass Hell - since the trail was still closed. This omission got rectified this year.

The trail passes across the road from Lake Helen
