Gaylor Lakes

This is the seventh of a series of posts on hikes and strolls undertaken during a 5-day CA road trip.

Date: September 3, 2017

Location: Yosemite National Park, CA

On Saturday evening, as I looked up options for a moderate 2-3 hour hike I could do during my drive over Tioga Road the next day, I chanced upon a description of Gaylor Lakes, and it seemed just perfect. It is also the highest trailhead in Yosemite, being right at Tioga Pass.

Walking along the edge of Dana Meadow from Tioga Pass parking lot to get to the trailhead

As I started descending the ridge, Middle Gaylor Lake appeared - what a pretty sight!
